NAFRC COMMENCES EXAMINATION FOR PARTICIPANTS OF COURSE 2, 2026
LAGOS — The Nigerian Armed Forces Resettlement Centre (NAFRC), Oshodi, Lagos, has commenced examinations for participants of Course 2, 2026, as part of activities marking the completion of their pre-discharge training. The examination comprises both theoretical and practical components, designed to assess participants' understanding of the knowledge and skills acquired during the course and their ability to translate classroom lessons into practical applications. Among the major areas examined are Security and Safety Management and Entrepreneurship, which form important components of the participants' preparation for transition from military service to civilian life. The Security and Safety Management examination assesses participants' understanding of security principles, safety procedures, risk management, emergency preparedness and other measures required for effective protection of lives and property. The Entrepreneurship component, meanwhile, examines participants' knowledge of business development, enterprise management and opportunities for self-employment and sustainable livelihood after military service. The practical examination also covers a wide range of vocational and technical areas, including water production, agriculture, fabrication, barbing, electrical and electronics, sewing, automobile mechanics and plumbing. Other areas include Information Technology and cosmetic production, among several other skills offered to participants as part of the Centre's resettlement and skills-acquisition programme. The practical sessions provide participants with the opportunity to demonstrate their technical competence, creativity, problem-solving abilities and capacity to apply the knowledge acquired during the training to real-life situations. The theoretical examination, on the other hand, tests participants' understanding of the principles, procedures and concepts taught by instructors throughout the course. The training is aimed at equipping retiring and transitioning personnel with relevant professional, vocational and entrepreneurial skills that can enhance their ability to establish businesses, secure employment and contribute meaningfully to society after military service. The examination also provides the Centre with an opportunity to evaluate the level of knowledge and competence attained by participants in their respective areas of specialization. The exercise is being conducted under the supervision of the appropriate authorities of the Centre, with participants expected to demonstrate discipline, professionalism and strict adherence to established examination procedures. The successful completion of the examination will form part of the requirements for participants to conclude Course 2, 2026, and proceed towards the final activities of their transition and resettlement programme. The ongoing examination therefore represents an important stage in the Centre's efforts to prepare personnel for a productive, secure and sustainable transition from active military service to civilian life.
