FASHION BOOSTS CONFIDENCE, WELLBEING AND SELF-EXPRESSION — IFY CHIC CEO
ENUGU — The Chief Executive Officer of Ify's Chic Fashion House, Ifebuche Onuigbo, has described fashion as an important part of personal wellbeing, saying appropriate dressing can improve confidence, self-esteem and the way people relate with others. Onuigbo, who specialises in the importation and distribution of quality women’s fashion materials, made the observation while speaking on the growing importance of fashion in contemporary society. According to her, fashion goes beyond simply wearing attractive clothes, stressing that the way people dress can influence their confidence, mood and overall presentation. She noted that women, in particular, increasingly pay attention to quality fabrics and stylish materials because of the role clothing plays in expressing personality, culture and individual identity. “Fashion is not just about looking beautiful. It is also about how you feel when you step out. When a woman wears something that makes her comfortable and confident, it can positively affect her mood and the way she interacts with people,” Onuigbo said. She explained that good fashion choices should combine comfort, quality, appropriateness and personal style, rather than focusing solely on expensive clothing. The fashion entrepreneur further encouraged women to choose materials that suit their personalities, occasions and financial capacity, adding that elegance does not necessarily depend on the cost of an outfit. Onuigbo also highlighted the economic importance of the fashion industry, noting that the sector provides opportunities for importers, fabric sellers, fashion designers, tailors, marketers and other professionals. She said the availability of quality women’s materials gives designers and customers wider choices while also contributing to the growth of small and medium-sized businesses. The CEO of Ify Chic Fashion House urged women to embrace their individuality and maintain confidence in their appearance, while encouraging fashion entrepreneurs to prioritise quality and customer satisfaction. She added that fashion should promote dignity, comfort and confidence, describing it as an important aspect of modern lifestyle
