BENIN- The Founder of International Faith Prayer Ministry Incorporated, Benin City, Evangelist Rodrick, has celebrated his birthday with a renewed call for Christians and well-meaning Nigerians to emulate the life, teachings and sacrificial love of Jesus Christ by extending care and support to the less privileged in society. The Enugu-born man of God, who has over the years devoted part of his ministry to welfare, humanitarian assistance and spiritual support, used the occasion of his birthday to reflect on the importance of giving hope to people who are facing difficult circumstances. His birthday celebration provided an opportunity for friends, family members, members of the ministry and well-wishers to appreciate his contributions to the lives of individuals and families who have benefited from his words of encouragement, prayers and material support. Evangelist Rodrick said true celebration should go beyond personal enjoyment, stressing that the greatest expression of gratitude to God is to become a blessing to others. According to him, Christians are called to demonstrate the character of Jesus Christ through love, compassion, forgiveness, generosity and service to humanity. He encouraged Christians, particularly those who have been blessed by God, not to forget the poor, widows, orphans, the elderly, vulnerable families and others who may be passing through difficult moments. He maintained that even seemingly little acts of kindness can restore hope and positively transform the life of another person. The cleric further urged Nigerians to make love and unity a priority, noting that society would become better when individuals and organisations deliberately reach out to those in need instead of concentrating only on their personal comfort and achievements. Reflecting on his journey, Evangelist Rodrick expressed gratitude to God for life, divine preservation and the opportunity to serve humanity through the ministry. He also appreciated members of his family, church, friends, partners and well-wishers for their prayers, encouragement and support over the years. He said his birthday was not merely a celebration of another year but a reminder of the responsibility that comes with life, leadership and service to God and humanity. As he marked the occasion, prayers were offered for greater grace, wisdom, good health, strength and continued impact in ministry and humanitarian service. The celebration also underscored a message that has remained central to Evangelist Rodrick's ministry: that a life devoted to God should also become a source of hope, encouragement and positive transformation to other people. For many who have encountered his ministry and humanitarian activities, his birthday celebration was therefore not only about celebrating the man, but also about recognising a life committed to faith, service and reaching out to people in need. As he enters another year, Evangelist Rodrick has called on people of goodwill to join hands in building a society where compassion is practised, the vulnerable are supported and the message of Jesus Christ is demonstrated not only through words but through practical acts of love and kindness.
